This tool is used on all single cylinder engines to establish top dead center or a timing mark. these little engines have no timing mark so you have to establish the Zero, You Attach the timing degree wheel to the face of the flywheel and screw in the piston stop. This deluxe stop has an air hole to release the pressure of the cylinder for a perfect accurate non pressurized cylinder. Once the tool is sealed against the oring you are ready to spin one direction and record your number, then spin the opposite way and record the number, divide by 2 and reposition the degree wheel and do it again until you get an equal number on both sides like around 22 degrees. you have now established the Zero of the engine.
