Honda 120 UT3 National Race Ready Quarter Midget Engine

While most builders don't take you child seriously and build you a "Rookie Engine" Defined by builder code as a "nothing engine" :light parts, no internal work, but looks the same as any other "Good" engine on the outside and charge you for a full blown race engine that could not get out of its own way. Here at Krybaby we don't build "Rookie Engines", We don't inch you up at rebuild time and we never hold your kid back or play favorites like the bigger builders.

Yes our engines cost a bit more but that's because we spend the time building every aspect not leaving anything on the table. It gets the full treatment.

We build each racing engine to spec. per class and the organization you will be competing in.  Every Krybaby Racing Engine is given 100% of what the rules allow  –  we build each engine to peak performance because when you win , we win!

Honda 120 GXHX2 UT3 this is the start of your child's racing career. Every quarter midget kid will start in the Honda 120 racing class. It might all start in red rookie but it quickly moves on to blue rookie and then it is off to the races in Junior Honda or Senior Honda or Heavy Honda.  All of this may used the Honda 120 but they are not all the same.

I don't work on the older version UT1 or UT2 for a reason - it cant beat an average UT3 and we don't build average. When you are starting out some will say any old engine will due, then I guess any old finishing position will also due. To be in it to win it, nothing beats the UT3 but you need more than that - you need a builder that is going to maximize the performance of that engine for the class you are running and that's what we do.

This build starts with striping the stock engine down to the bones. We wont be using the fuel tank, air box, throttle linkage and a host of other parts. We will start by removing the governor to double the rpm range and then its 20 more steps to the finish line. Yes the weight of the parts matter, yes the cam will be profiled and calibrated and yes we will spend a complete day transforming this yard work machine into a full blown racing engine. It will be nearly finished with a billet aluminum air cup and a fast response billet aluminum throttle bracket. The final step will be to mount it to the dyno run up stand and fine tune it until it screams to 6000 rpm.

Now you may have to learn driving and chassis setup up but you will be assured you will not have to worry about what you have for an engine because you have it all.
