This is the tool you use to remove the flywheel from your engine to weight it - heavy flywheel wins the race.
Honda, Clone, Predator Flywheel Removal Knocker Tool, 1” dia, 4 1/2” Long Solid Steel Weight 425 Grams or .935 Lb, Thread M14x1.5 Used to remover the flywheel with out damaging threads.
To remove the flywheel, Impact off the flywheel nut, remove the plastic fan, metal cup and the nut, sometimes the flywheel will fall right off but this is not common. The flywheel is on a tapered shaft with a key, once installed it is not moving, it is a press fit and you can't just pull it off. The proper way to remove it is to thread on the knocker and leave a 1/16" to 1/8" gap between the tool and the flywheel. With a long screw driver wedged behind the flywheel it will take one to three hits with a hammer on the knocker and the flywheel will pop off. With this tool you will never damage the threads or nut. Now you are ready to weigh the flywheel. Hope its heavy!
